From September 30 to October 1, 2026, the international scientific conference "Karabakh: At the Crossroads of Archaeological Cultures," dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Hidayat Jafarov, was held at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences as part of the "Year of Urban Planning and Architecture."

At the conference, Konul Zeynalova, Head of the Embroidery Section of the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art, delivered a paper titled "Artistic Embodiment of Karabakh's Medieval Cultural Heritage in Carpet Weaving: Based on the 'Enchanting Karabakh' Carpet Composition."

In the presentation, Karabakh's ancient carpet-weaving heritage and the artistic features of the Shadda carpet were linked to modern compositional principles. As part of the project, a digital design and a carpet sketch were presented, demonstrating the presentation of ancient cultural heritage through a contemporary artistic approach.

It should be noted that an article on the theme "Enchanting Karabakh" has been published in the conference proceedings.
